EXCLUSIVE: Raaj Shaandilyaa teams up with Omung Kumar & Kunal Shivdasani for Sikh runner Fauja Singh's biopic
Having given the world laughs with Dream Girl starring Ayushmann Khurrana, writer-director Raaj Shaandiliyaa is all set to collaborate with Omung Kumar & Kunal Shivdasani for a biopic on life of British Sikh centenarian marathon runner, Fauja Singh.
Writer and director Raaj Shaandiliyaa had entertained the audiences with his film, Dream Girl starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Nusrratt Bharruccha in the lead. The film managed to make a special place in people's hearts in 2019 and Raaj's direction and writing was lauded. Now, it seems that the filmmaker is all set to bring another story to the world of an inspiring man who happens to be the world's oldest marathon runner, Fauja Singh. Yes, Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that Raaj is all set to collaborate with Omung Kumar and Kunal Shivdasani for Fauja Singh's biopic.
In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, Raaj revealed that he will be teaming up with Omung and Kunal and working on Fauja Singh biopic under his banner of ThinkInk Picturez. He was elated to announce the film. While talking about it, Raaj said, "I am really happy and glad that we are producing Fauja Singh, the greatest biopic of all times. It is a great journey of a Sardar. We have come together to produce the film and are looking forward for a great response."

For those not aware, Fauja Singh is a world-famous British Sikh centenarian marathon runner of Punjabi Indian descent. He has beaten a number of world records in different age groups, but none of his times have been ratified as records. He is 109 years old and has a biography in his name titled 'Turbaned Tornado.' While the cast of the film is not yet revealed, with Raaj, Omung and Kunal joining hands, we're sure that it will turn out to be exciting and inspiring. Earlier, Raaj Shaandilyaa had also announced Janhit Main Jaari under his banner that is to be helmed by Omung Kumar.
