EXCLUSIVE: Rana Daggubati to replace Vikas Gupta as the host of Ace of Space this season?
The reality show has been renewed for a second season. And we hear the makers are planning to get a new face to host the latest edition.
In 2018, MTV introduced a new show of sorts. Called Ace of Space, the reality series seemed like an interesting mix of Bigg Boss and Crunch. Several contestants were locked up inside rooms that would diminish after every task. Ace TV producer and Bigg Boss 11 contestant Vikas Gupta was roped in to play the mastermind on the show, which did reasonably well in terms of viewership.
Ace of Space has now been renewed for another fresh season. And we hear they are looking at a different personality to come on board as the new face. "Vikas worked wonderfully well because of his image and it connected well with the show. But with the second season, they had already planned to get someone else to bring in a newness. Vikas and the channel aren't having any issue at all." Who are they getting on board? "There are a few options. Karan Patel is also being considered. But there's another actor who has turned out to be their top choice," a source tells us, further revealing that, "Rana Daggubati is the one they are talking to at the moment."
"Rana has been in discussion with the team for Ace of Space 2. He has also liked the idea and given his verbal nod. But the modalities need to be worked out. Given it's a regular show, he also plans to shift to Mumbai to shoot the episodes on a daily basis," the informer adds.
