EXCLUSIVE: Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have a quiet intimate first Diwali
Missed Ranveer and Deepika this Diwali? Here's what the lovebirds were upto!
Last year, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot in a celebratory ceremony at Lake Como last year. After years of courting each other, the two lovebirds or DeepVeer, as they are lovingly called by their fans, took their nuptial vows. What followed was a gala celebration with several events and dos at different parts of the world.
During the last few days while the whole industry was busy celebrating Diwali at the numerous Bollywood bashes that were thrown, Ranveer and Deepika were nowhere to be seen. But a source close to the two actors confirmed that they preferred a more intimate gathering for their first Diwali celebrations. The insider told us, "Dippy and RS were with both their families ringing in the festivities. Both set of parents - the Bhavnanis and the Padukones, and their respective siblings were in Mumbai and they celebrated Diwali together. They had a rather quiet few days at home spending quality time with each other and hence decided to give all the Diwali dos a miss."
Both the stars have always been extremely attached to their families. So they wanted to spend their fist Diwali as a married couple with people who mattered the most to them. Ranveer, who has just wrapped up work on 83, will soon begin shoot for YRF's Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Deepika, on the other hand, has been signed on for as many as three big films - Karan Johar's next production venture directed by Shakun Batra, The Mahabharata where she essays the role of Draupadi and Luv Ranjan's next with Ranbir Kapoor.
