EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar might team up again for Chhatrapati Shivaji biopic; read details
While Ali and Salman's Bharat releases on Wednesday, they are also reuniting for the third part of the Tiger franchise. But apart from these films, there's another one they want to do together.
Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar have already delivered two huge blockbusters together. Their third film Bharat is ready for release in two days from now. Ali has also announced that he's locked the idea for the third installment in the Tiger franchise. But now, we have learnt that there's another big project that the director is planning to mount with the superstar in it.
A source tells us, "Ali wants to make a biopic on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He has always been fascinated by his life story and is keen to mount the movie on a huge scale. Although he has not started work on the same, but that is one of his passion projects and he's already discussed the idea with Salman. Even the actor is extremely excited to take it forward. But even then, the film has at least a few years to take off, for sure."
When we contacted Ali, he also confirmed the same. He told us, "Shivaji's story is very inspirational and must be told in the truest way. I think it's a good idea to work with Salman. But it's not being planned right now." Currently, Salman too is preoccupied with several films. There's Dabangg 3 followed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Inshallah and Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick 2. Post that, he will also mostly be seen in Atul Agnihotri's Veteran remake and the Tiger sequel. But we are sure with Salman stepping in as Shivaji, the film will only get bigger and better!
