EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Inshallah's theatrical rights sold for Rs 190 crore!

Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Inshallah is possibly one of the biggest and the most anticipated films to be hitting screens in 2020. The film, has gone on floors recently, with a song that is currently being shot in one of the Mumbai studios. Sanjay Leela Bhansali who's directing the film, has done the recee and the movie will be shot in Mumbai, Varanasi, Haridwar and in parts of Orlando and Florida in the US.

For the longest time, there were murmurs that SLB was finding it difficult to sell his film because he was looking for a particular amount for the film. But it seems to be all false. Now, we can tell you that Inshallah's theatrical rights has been sold at a whopping price. A source close to the development tells us, "There is someone trying to do foul play and sabotage Salman's movie. But now, SLB has sold the rights to Jayantilal Gada of Pen Cinemas at a huge price."

How much has it fetched the team? A trade source reveals, "Bhansali is also producing the film, along with Salman Khan Films. He has sold the movie for Rs 165 crore plus additonal Rs 25 crore for P&A, which makes it a Rs 190 crore and that's huge." This is also one of the highest that a film has ever fetched. The digital and satellite rights will also clock a fantastic figure. "Usually, Salman has a deal with a digital streaming agency and a channel partner so the sum of these two usually is Salman's fee for a film. But with Rs 190 crore in the kitty already, the producers already seem to have hit a big home run." The move will be shot over the next few months, till January end and will release on Eid next year. Unlike Bhansali's last few films, this isn't a period saga high on action but a unique tale of love that resonates with today's generation and their thought process.
