EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif celebrate the schedule wrap of Bharat at a party held last night
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif recently wrapped the Malta schedule of their film, Bharat, which is being helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. A wrap-up party for Team Bharat was held last night at Hugo’s Terrace, at Paceville in St Julian.
The producers of Bharat, Atul Agnihotri and Nikhil Namit, made sure that the cast and crew had a blast on the sets of the movie during their Malta schedule. After a biryani and ice cream party with the cast and crew when they celebrated Eid, they hosted a wrap-up party tonight to celebrate the schedule’s completion for Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and the Bharat crew, which includes director Ali Abbas Zafar. It was also attended by Atul’s wife Alvira Agnihotri. The venue was The Rooftop on the posh beachfront bar and grill, Hugo’s Terrace, at Paceville in St Julian, near the sand and sea of St. Georges Bay.
A source informed, "Hugo’s Terrace is one of Malta’s most stylish venues where the rich and cool crowds mingle. It is known for its décor, great Mediterranean cuisine with live performances by local and international artists. The Rooftop has breath-taking views of the beach and skyline with inside and outside dining options. This is the ideal place to host a wrap-up party where everyone can sit and relax after wrapping up the day’s shoot. The Bharat unit has been shooting in Malta for the last three weeks and since it was a schedule wrap, the party was a happy time for all to relax, dance and generally let down their hair. The producers had sent out individual invites to each member of the cast and crew."
Before the wrap-up party, Nikhil Namit said, "The Malta experience was very good. We are having a wrap party for the cast and crew tonight. Prior to that, after we wrapped up, we cut cakes with everybody on the sets."
The Bharat unit has been shooting in Valletta and Mdina in Malta for the last three weeks. While Disha Patani and Nora Fatehi have completed their work in the first schedule, Katrina joined the Bharat unit, a few days ago. A major schedule and three songs have been shot in these weeks. Bharat is an official remake of the South Korean drama, Ode To My Father (2014) and starts in 1947 when the Partition took place and thousands of families were separated and ends in 2000. The movie is the journey of a country and also a person, both of whom go by the name of Bharat.
After their Malta schedule, the Bharat unit will head for Abu Dhabi in September after celebrating the Ganpati festival in Mumbai.
