EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan’s DABANGG 3’s look tests have BEGUN
The look tests of one of the most anticipated films of 2019, Dabangg 3 have started. The film starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha and directed by Prabhu Dheva is all set to go on floors from September.
The look tests of one of the most anticipated films of 2019, Dabangg 3 have started. The film starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha and directed by Prabhu Dheva is all set to go on floors from September. Salman will shoot for the film along with Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat.
Says a source, “Dabangg 3 look tests of the various characters started from this month in Mumbai. While Salman carries on as cop Chulbul Pandey with Rajjo (Sonakshi Sinha) as his wife, it’s been six years since Dabangg 2 released hence they both are also undergoing look tests along with the rest of the cast. Chulbul by now would have become a higher-ranking police officer and not the Inspector he played in the earlier Dabanggs. Also, apparently the story this time will revolve around a real-life cop and certain aspects of his personality has been incorporated into Chulbul’s character, by writer Dilip Shukla (who co-wrote Dabangg with Abhinav Kashyap) and wrote Dabangg 2. Hence Salman’s look may change from the earlier two Dabanggs as will Sonakshi’s as she’s lost tons of weight since then.”
Interestingly, a few new characters will be seen in Dabangg 3 this time. Buzz is that the main villain will be Chedi Singh’s (played by Sonu Sood in Dabangg who was killed by Chulbul Pandey) brother and for that a Bollywood actor has been finalized. The source adds, “Everything is under wraps right now and all test looks are being conducted in a hush-hush manner. Director-actor Mahesh Manjrekar's daughter Ashwami, is expected to debut in Dabangg 3 as Salman will launch her.”
However, Vinod Khanna, who passed away in April last year, will be missed in Dabangg 3 this time. He had acted in the role of Prajapati Pandey, Chulbul's step-father and had been a powerful character, who would always stand up to Chulbul.
The Prabhudheva-directorial is currently neck-deep in pre-production work and is expected to begin shooting from September 14. Dabangg 3 will also star Arbaaz Khan as Chulbul’s half-brother Makhanchand or Makkhi Pandey.
