Sara Ali Khan will be seen in Rohit Shetty's Simmba alongside Ranveer Singh. The makers recently shared a foot-tapping dance number Aankh Maarey starring the actors.
Sara Ali Khan made a promising debut this year with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath. The actress stars alongside Sushant Singh Rajput in the film. Kedarnath released last week and received mixed reviews from the critics and the audience. However, Sara has won hearts with her mesmerising performance as Mukku in the film. When one watches Kedarnath, one can't imagine anyone playing the role with such perfection.
After Kedarnath, Sara has another release this month - Rohit Shetty's Simmba. The actress is paired opposite Ranveer Singh in this masala entertainer. The trailer of Simmba was released a few days ago and the audience is excited to see the magic created by Ranveer, Sara and Rohit on screen. Last week, the makers of Simmba dropped a peppy dance number Aankh Marey. It is a remake of Arshad Warsi's 1996 song Aankh Maare O Ladka Aankh Maare from the film Tere Mere Sapne.
In the video, Sara and Ranveer impress us with their chemistry, dance moves and their expressions. As it's a quirky dance number, Ranveer totally nailed it and Sara surprised us all. While talking to Pinkvilla, Sara Ali Khan revealed that she took inspiration from Karisma Kapoor to nail the expressions and the spunk and energy required to bring justice to this iconic dance number.
The actress said that she watched a lot of Karisma Kapoor's songs to learn the expressions and other nuances right for the song. She even told her Simmba director Rohit Shetty that if he can't make her like Bebo (Kareena Kapoor Khan), at least make her like Lolo (Karisma).
Well, we think Sara Ali Khan has rocked the dance steps in Aankh Marey.
The song also features Arshad Warsi and othe Golmaal stars like Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade.
Simmba will hit the screens on December 28, 2018.
