Contrary to reports, Shah Rukh Khan won't have just a cameo in Vijay's Thalapathy 63.
That Shah Rukh Khan is making his South debut with Atlee Kumar's Thalapathy 63 starring Vijay is known to all. But what people still don't have a clue about is what the actor will be essaying in the action flick. Speculations are rife that the Bollywood superstar will have a mere cameo in the Tamil movie. We hear it isn't just an appearance.
Our source who is closely associated with the project reveals, "SRK has a prominent character that he's playing in Thalapathy 63. It's not like his other cameos. In fact, he is the main villain who comes in the picture only towards the climax. He has a good 15 minutes odd role, fighting Vijay. The makers wanted a leading face from the Hindi film industry to shoot for the role and when Atlee approached Shah Rukh for it, he agreed on principle to do it." This will undoubtedly also give the film a pan-India reach.
The Zero actor will soon shoot the scenes for Thalapathy 63. "It's a four-five day shoot and the team is figuring whether to film the scenes in Chennai or in Mumbai itself," adds the source.
One of the major reasons why Atlee thought of SRK for Thalapathy 63 was also because the actor-filmmaker duo are planning to work together on a Hindi film too. They were also spotted chilling together during one of the IPL matches in Chennai. There are already reports that King Khan might star in the Hindi remake of Mersal, which will be helmed by Atlee who also directed the original.
