Among the many South remakes that are being planned right now in Bollywood, one that has upped our anticipation levels is Kabir Singh. The Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer is an official remake of Arjun Reddy that was headlined by Vijay Deverakonda.
The first promo was launched last month and it opened to rave reviews from the critics and audience alike. Shahid's rage act received a unanimous thumbs up and it also left everyone waiting for the theatrical trailer. Now, the team plans to launch it in a biggish way. Our source close to the development reveals, "It's a heavy action oriented trailer that will present Shahid in a never-seen-before avatar. They are cutting out a proper trailer and will select the best version. The teaser has been immensely loved so that puts everyone in a happy space. The trailer will be officially unveiled on May 13 with a big event in Mumbai."
The three minute promo will showcase the whole trajectory of Kabir's character - from an angry young man who has no control over his temper to a person lost in love. Kiara Advani too lends support to the actor who is definitely going to shock everyone with his performance. Kiara who just left for Chandigarh to begin shoot for her next film Shershaah, will also be back to the bay for a day to unveil the promo. The film, directed by Sandeep Vanga, who also helmed the original, will hit screens on June 21 this year. At the box office, the actioner will clash with Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao-starrer Mental Hai Kya. This will also be Shahid's only release this year.
