Shahid Kapoor's last film Kabir Singh not only turned out to be his biggest money spinner till date, but it also is the highest grossing film this year. The actor received several accolades for his brilliant portrayal of a destructive and obsessive lover and the numbers are proof. But ever since, the actor has not made any film announcements. While Shahid has been flooded with offers, he is yet to take a call on what he wants to take up next.

There are a few big offers that we've already reported. He has offers from filmmakers like Ram Madhwani, Nikkhil Advani, Karan Johar and others but he has almost made up his mind on what he wants to do next. A source tells us, "Dil Raju wants Shahid to do the remake of Nani starrer Jersey. Shahid has watched the film and loved it. His last movie which was a South remake did wonders to his career and the story of Jersey touched him. Initially, they had plans of making the film with Karan Johar presenting it in Hindi but then the producer decided he will make his own debut in Bollywood with the film. The director of the original will be mostly helming the remake too."

But Shahid has clearly told the makers he won't begin shoot in the next two months as well. "Shahid wants to spend some quality time with his family first. He wants to make sure he's there for both his kids Misha and Zain's birthdays and will only kickstart shoot for Jersey around November this year. He will make announcements for two projects back to back. One of them is definitely the Jersey remake. Right now, he's planning another holiday with wife Mira Kapoor and his kids. He wants to enjoy this time off before again going back to the grind," adds a source close to the actor.
