Exclusive: Sonam Kapoor to play a cop in Nikkhil Advani's next thriller drama

A source close to the film confirmed that Sonam Kapoor is a part of Nikkhil Advani's and will be seen playing the role of a cop.

After Sanjay Dutt biopic, PadMan and Veere Di Wedding, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has quite a good films in the kitty. The actress will be seen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga which also stars Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla in pivotal roles. Beside this, reports were doing rounds that Sonam has been approached for Nikkhil Advani's Snow which is a crime thriller. Now, a source close to the film confirmed that Sonam Kapoor is a part of  Nikkhil Advani's and will be seen playing the role of a cop. 

The makers of the film had been discussing this project for the longest period of time and things have finally materialized. A source confirmed to Pinkvilla that Sonam Kapoor is very much a part of Nikkhil Advani's next thriller. It is a much-delayed project which is all set to go on floors soon. The makers are currently looking for the right male actor to star opposite Sonam Kapoor. More details about this crime thriller are awaited.

Meanwhile, Sonam Kapoor will be seen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. Deriving its title from the iconic song in 1942 A Love Story, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is being directed by debutante Shelly Chopra Dhar and produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios. The teaser of the film was released a couple of months ago and it received a positive response on the social media. The story of the film is set in a rural town in Punjab. Reports were doing rounds that with the film's post-production almost in its final schedule, the producer of the film has asked for certain scenes to be re-shot.
