EXCLUSIVE: Sonam Kapoor says, 'if Dulquer Salmaan is my co-star, would love to do a South movie'
Sonam Kapoor opens up on doing a South movie with Dulquer Salmaan. Check it out.
Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan came together for the first time for The Zoya Factor. The movie has opened to a poor response on its first day and while the positive word of mouth might help the movie to grow during the weekend, in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, we asked Sonam if she would like to join the likes of Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and star in a South movie anytime. To this, Sonam said that she would love to but for her, understanding the language is very important.
"If it was interesting, I would have been in a film with Dulquer but unfortunately, it did not work out. But, I need to know the language and understand what I am doing and saying. I know they shoot very quicky there, very fast. We need to understand the language and know things. If Dulquer is in the movie, I think I would be more comfortable because I think he will help me." At this point, Dulquer added that he thinks Sonam should do a film in the South. "I would love to," added Sonam.
Sonam also revealed how she was impressed with Dulquer's Hindi during the shoot. She said that during Ranjhana, it was all dubbed and she did not expect Dulquer to be this comfortable with the language. The Zoya Factor has garnered around Rs 60 lakhs to 80 lakhs on its first day and is based on a book by the same name.
