EXCLUSIVE: Aditya Seal REVEALS how he bagged Student Of The Year 2, working with Tiger Shroff, Ananya, Tara

Student Of The Year 2 starring Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria has already created a lot of buzz on social media. Ever since the trailer of the movie released, memes and the newly released song The Jawani Song, much like The Disco Song (SOTY) has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs. Aditya Seal who plays another pivotal character in the movie is seen shining and how in the trailer and The Jawani song and hence, we caught up with him recently to know how excited he is about the response to the trailer, shooting with Tiger Shroff and the other debutantes and more.

When asked what is his mind space like right now post the first trailer of the movie released, Aditya Seal told Pinkvilla, "I am, honestly, very happy with the response we have got. Every character is standing out in the trailer which is great and you can see how the characters are and get a gist of the film. I have seen a few bits and pieces of the movie and I believe everyone has done a good job. Hats off to Puneet (Malhotra, the director) the way he has got everyone to be on the same page, it is amazing.

His meeting with Puneet and then Karan is something we have all heard about through various sources but when asked to reiterate, Aditya was all praises for Puneet and recalled, "The first time I auditioned with Puneet is the last time I auditioned for him, he told me that he really liked my work but Karan needs to like it too. That wait for Karan to like it and have me on board was a little prolonged because I think he was out of the country and that just kept me on the edge throughout. I kept calling Puneet and then one day I got a call to come to Dharma. Trust me, it was just very nerve-wracking because I was meeting Karan Johar."

He continued, "But the first time I met him, it was so amazing because it did not feel like I was meeting him for the first time. He made me feel so comfortable. Both of us were only trying to know each other during our first chat. He just told me that I am locked for the role after that. Since then it has been fantastic. Puneet has been so kind. I am just glad that I could pull the part off."

Speaking at length about his camaraderie with Tiger Shroff, who is known for his stunts and amazing dance moves, Aditya said, "It is just been great with Tiger because I can do a few stunts myself, it is just that people don't know it yet apart from Tiger, so we feed off each other very well. Tiger and I were inseparable. There was no way we were trying to overshadow each other."

Not just Tiger, Aditya seemed to have been shocked with the maturity shown by debutantes Ananya and Tara. "These millennials are crazy. I did not have half the maturity these girls have at that age," he exclaimed adding, "Like they know what they want and how to go about it. It is beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised by both. I know Tara had a few experiences as a child artist but working on the film, she was so easy. Coming to Ananya, I have seen her evolve as an actor during the shooting of the movie. The kind of seriousness they show on sets is unbelievable, sometimes I had to tell them to calm down."

Speaking particularly about The Jawani Song, Aditya shared, "I have been told I can pull off dance. In SOTY, you expect dance, action and great songs, and these girls, are actually very good dancers and Tiger you know is fantastic, and the kind of dances these people have done is commendable. When you know you have such good dancers, you have to up your game. We just tried a lot of new things."

"Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani is a mad song. The kind of dance and stunts we have done is so beautiful. It is a massive song, we had huge sets, Remo (D'Souza) sir was brilliant. We had so much fun shooting for the song. I remember one time when Karan met me and said that 'look I have spent a lot of money in getting the rights for this song, so you better perform well.' He did not know how much I could dance. After that, Manish (Malhotra) came and told me that 'I did not know you could dance so well.'
