EXCLUSIVE: SRK’s Deewana producer Guddu Dhanoa to direct Thakur Anoop Singh in Hindi remake of Singam 3
Producer Jayantilal Gada confirmed the news. He added that Tinnu Verma has come onboard as an action director for the film
Pinkvilla had recently reported that Suriya, Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan starrer S 3 aka Singam 3’s Hindi remake is in the works, and Thakur Anoop Singh will play the leading man in the film. He was earlier supposed to play the main villain, but now will headline the cast. We now have a new update on this much awaited remake. We have learnt that Guddu Dhanoa, who had produced Shah Rukh Khan’s Bollywood debut Deewana, will direct the Hindi version of Singam 3.
Confirming the news producer Jayantilal Gada informs “Guddu Dhanoa ji has worked with Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Sunny Deol when they had started out, and now he has taken the challenge to launch Thakur Anoop Singh in a big way with Singam 3. Tinnu Verma ji has come onboard as an action director for the film.” Singam 3 will mark Dhano’s return to Hindi films. He had last directed the Sunny Deol and Priyanka Chopra starrer 2007 vigilante film, Big Brother.
The original Tamil action film was directed by Hari and was released in 2017. Reportedly, Sunny Deol was earlier supposed to play the main lead, while cinematographer turned director Ravi K Chandran was going to helm the project. Meanwhile, Jayantilal Gada is also backing the Hindi remake of the 2005 Telugu actioner Chatrapathi. While the original had featured Prabhas in the lead, the remake will be headlined by Bellamkonda Sreenivas.
Gada is producing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi as well.
