EXCLUSIVE: Are URI hero Vicky Kaushal and hot actress Malavika Mohanan the NEW COUPLE in Bollywood?

It seems that after his success story on the professional front with Uri and break up with actress Harleen Sethi on the personal front, Vicky Kaushal has become quite a lady’s man. In the last six months he has been linked to many a gorgeous actress including Katrina Kaif, Huma Qureshi and Bhumi Pednekar. While none of them have confirmed about their special bond, we have been hearing of the growing friendship between Vicky and the hot, sultry Malavika Mohanan who was last seen in Majid Majidi's, Beyond the Clouds (2017). She has also carved a path through a series of lead roles in Malayalam and Kannada films and acting in Anand Annamalai’s next movie (Telugu, Tamil and Kannada) with Vijay Devarakonda in the lead. Malavika was last seen in the Rajinikanth starrer Petta, which hit the theatres in January this year. Both Vicky and Malavika are young, hot, single and ready to mingle!
Says a source from Bollywood, “Vicky, Sunny, Malavika and her brother have known each other since they children and enjoy a camaraderie and bond together. But Vicky and Malavika apparently, have become extremely close during this. Sunny and Malavika are also good friends. In Mumbai, no matter how busy he is, he will make it a point to drop in for lunch or dinner at Malavika’s home where she stays with her parents and brother. Now it seems that their relationship is becoming stronger and developing into something more intimate.”
On Thursday night he came for dinner with his brother Sunny to the Mohanans Bandra home. The source says, “Malavika is always talking glowingly about him to everybody. She likes him so much she cannot stop gushing about him and while Vicky is more reticent, he does these little romantic gestures, like dropping in and surprising her on the sets of one of her South films and taking her out for lunch. Vicky loves home-cooked South Indian food and often drops in on the Mohanan house in Mumbai like Thursday night. Even though he’s a Punjabi, he loves the South Indian style fish-curry and rice but on Thursday he was disappointed it was not there so Malavika pulled his leg on Insta by posting “Deprived of fish curry and rice. Life is not a Mani Ratnam film today.”
Interestingly, a couple of weeks ago, Vicky had made a cute video, where he wrote “Life’s a Mani Ratnam film after a wholesome South Indian meal on a Sunday afternoon! Thank You @malavikamohanan" Malavika’s mother Beena had remarked, “Mera thank you kahan hai Vicky?
The video sees AR Rahman song Adiye playing in the backdrop and Malavika Mohanan had commented on the video. "Hahahaha you managed to figure out how to add music to the video! I was trying to figure it out for a while."
In mid-March, this year, Harleen Sethi unfollowed Vicky on Instagram leading to speculation that the two had broken up. After that the Uri actor has been linked to almost everyone from Katrina Kaif, to Huma Qureshi and Bhumi Pednekar. There has been a strong rumour about Vicky dating Katrina Kaif. According to the grapevine it’s no longer Katrina but Malavika.
After winning the Outstanding Talent Of The Year Award given by a fashion magazine, after wishing Vicky, Malavika has written to him saying he missed some yummy fish curry and sambar and Vicky had replied ‘Soon. Soon. Soon.’ Both the families are very comfortable with each other and Vicky and Sunny are almost regular fixtures at Malavika’s home. Right now, their relationship is being portrayed as a casual friendship with some subtle romantic hints here and there. Also both Malavika and Vicky are just starting out in their careers and will need to focus on them in the next few years. It remains to be see whether this love story will pan out positively or fall apart because of the career pressure.
