EXCLUSIVE: Varun Dhawan in talks for another comedy movie with Farhad Samji post Coolie No 1 and Street Dancer
Varun Dhawan and Farhad Samji are reportedly discussing another movie post Coolie No. 1 and Street Dancer but nothing has been confirmed so far. Read exclusive details.
Filmmaker-writer Farhad Samji is on a roll with a number of movies in his kitty. The writer is currently busy with Houseful 4 which stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon among others in lead roles. The movie releases this October. Amid this, the director has also written Street Dancer, and Coolie No 1 for Varun Dhawan, with whom he shares a great bond. For those unaware, Farhad was given his first break in the industry by Varun's dad and noted filmmaker David Dhawan.
While Varun has already wrapped up shooting for Street Dancer, the actor will soon begin working on Coolie No. 1, an official adaptation of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer, which was directed by Senior Dhawan himself. A reliable source informed us, "Farhad apparently has a script almost ready for a fresh film which will be a comedy and he feels Varun will be the right fit for it. He has reportedly shared the idea with Varun but the two are yet to sit on it. Given that, Varun is extremely busy with his other two movies right now and is only concentrating on those for now, it is likely that the two will take forward the discussion once Coolie kickstarts."
Farhad confirmed the development in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, but did not divulge much as their discussion is at a very nascent stage for now. But nothing has been locked on either ends so far. Meanwhile, Varun has an interesting lineup in place for next year.
