Deepika Padukone is over the moon with the success of her latest outing Padmaavat. In an exclusive tête-à-tête with Deepika, the actress spoke about working with Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and much more.
Deepika Padukone is on cloud nine and with a very good reason. Her latest outing, Padmaavat which was a victim of many controversies and delays finally released on January 25, 2018.
The magnum opus which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor will soon be crossing the Rs. 200 crore mark at the box-office. People have been raving about Deepika's performance and can't get enough of her portrayal as the brave and strong-willed Rani Padmavati.
Recently, decked in a traditional attire and looking like a million buck with her 1000 watts smile, Deepika had an exclusive tête-à-tête with Pinkvilla. You could immediately notice the addictive happiness radiating off of her as she was overwhelmed by all the love she has garnered so far for Padmaavat.
The actress started off by talking about the reaction she had received so far and notes how she will never forget her parent's expression as they saw her in the movie. She further talks about her progression on working with Bhansali from Goliyon Ki Rasleela - Ram Leela to Padmaavat. Deepika also revealed that Rani Padmavati will not be leaving her spirit anytime soon as well as what was her frame of mind when she shot the famous Jauhar scene.
When quizzed on whether she and Ranveer will ever have a happy ending in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the actress wished that they would instead to a lighter film.
We also spoke about fashion, her next project which is Vishal Bharadwaj's untitled movie with Irrfan Khan, her 10-year journey in Bollywood so far, amongst other things.
