Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt has already created a wave at the Berlin Film Festival and now with the movie releasing in India in the next few days, the excitement can be felt. The movie chronicles the life of a street rapper whose life is inspired by the real life instances of many YouTube sensations including Divine, Naezy and more. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the movie is all set to release on Valentine's Day i.e February 14, 2019.

Before the release, we caught up with the dynamic duo who is collaborating for the first time for Zoya Akhtar's film. In a candid chat, Ranveer and Alia got talking about the time when they told themselves 'Apna Time Aayega', if making bold choices ever scare them, the gully thing they did whilst shooting and more. When asked what does the phrase 'Apna Time Aayega' mean to them, Alia said, "To me, this is connected with Gully Boy. In bigger sense, it is connected to anybody who believes in their dream and believes in their time and believes in fulfilling something that, they may not have presently, but will probably have it someday. We also used it frequently on sets, in between shots. So, now it has become like the way of speaking."

On the other hand, Ranveer added, "To me, Apna Time Aayega means a phase of struggle where you got to tell yourself that 'you have to just keep moving forward' and at some point, things will fall into place and will work out." He even shared the phase where he told himself that his time will come. "I had a phase like that when I was trying to get a break as an actor. Things weren't particularly easy. There were some tough times and hence I can totally relate to the slogan, Apna Time Aayega, because I used to tell myself that 'you got it' and that keep hustling and believe in yourself and believe in Apna Time Aayega," he smiled.
