Gully Boy by Zoya Akhtar has created a massive buzz across the country. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s performances as Murad and Safeena were the highlights of the film. However, amidst the stars, there was another talented actor who has managed to win over the audiences with his charm and skill, and we are talking about none other than MC Sher from Gully Boy, Siddhant Chaturvedi. The star who played Ranveer’s mentor in the film has managed to nail his performance to the T.
Today, he received appreciation for his role in Gully Boy from none other than Bollywood’s greatest superstar Amitabh Bachchan. In an exclusive video with Pinkvilla, Siddhant's joy is evident on getting flowers along with a note. Siddhant can be seen reacting with a lot of excitement to Big B’s token of appreciation and his handwritten note. In the video, we can see Siddhant’s happiness on reading what Big B wrote for his performance in Gully Boy.
Later, in response to the note, Siddhant also took to Twitter to share some photos with the note and flowers and wrote in Hindi, “@SrBachchan सादर प्रणाम, आपका उपहार और आशीर्वाद मिला जो मेरे लिए अकल्पनीय है। इस ख़ुशी की व्याख्या मैं शब्दों में नहीं कर सकता। ये मेरे लिए सौभाग्य और गर्व का पल है, और अब बस आपके चरण स्पर्श की कामना करता हूँ।.” (Mr Bachchan, receiving your gift and blessings was unimaginable for me. I cannot express my happiness in words. This is a moment of pride for me, and now all, I want to do is touch your feet.)

Siddhant’s role as MC Sher helps Murad discover his talent and to show it in front of the public despite all odds. He turns out to be one of Murad’s confidant and guide in the film. However, in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Siddhant revealed that off the screen Ranveer helped him. Siddhant said, “Off-screen, it was a role reversal. Ranveer Singh was my MC Sher, off screen. I am a new guy so I was like, 'Baba, is this fine.' He was so warm and guiding me throughout.”
