In an EXCLUSIVE candid chat with Pinkvilla, Guru Randhawa and Sanjana Sanghi spoke candidly about collaborating for Mehendi Wale Haath MV while the latter shared her thoughts on Dil Bechara continuing to receive love from fans.
With almost 40 million views for its melancholic music video in a week, Mehendi Wale Haath by Guru Randhawa is the go-to heartbreaking love song for our moody playlist. Moreover, fans have been loving the chemistry shared between Randhawa and Sanjana Sanghi in the MV. In an EXCLUSIVE interaction with Pinkvilla, we spoke to the awesome twosome about the success of their collaboration.
During the same interview, we couldn't help but ask Sanghi about how monumental her 2020 was with the release of Dil Bechara, which was Sushant Singh Rajput's last film after his untimely demise. On how she wants to remember Sushant and Dil Bechara's legacy for years to come, Sanjana earnestly shared, "The thing with Dil Bechara is it's going to be remembered for everybody. Each one of the crores of people who's seen it has their own individual relationship with it which is very intimate."
Given that the past few months have seen her return back to shooting mode post the lockdown period, with Mehendi Wale Haath and Om: The Battle Within opposite Aditya Roy Kapur, the 24-year-old actress has a deeper face-to-face understanding of just how much love and adoration from the audience was bestowed upon Dil Bechara. "I've realised that for the past three-four months, I've been out and about and travelling a lot, working and meeting a lot of people. Hearing from them, finally after lockdown in actual flesh and blood, what they felt and that's what I want it to be. I want everybody to have their own special relationship with it because I know they do. With our characters, with the music, with absolutely everything," Sanghi added.
"And for me, personally, it's what's taught me everything I know about, not just the craft but it's taught me life and it's made me grow up in many ways. There's a lot of gratitude. There's a lot of heartbreak. There's everything there. For me what it is personally is different but for our audiences, I just want them to remember it the way they do and continue to love it the way they do like you said," Sanjana concluded.
