In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Tamannaah Bhatia shared her thoughts on director Sajid Khan being accused of sexual harassment during the #MeToo movement.
Tamannaah Bhatia, who was part of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali, thinks that the whole #MeToo movement which started last year eventually turned into a PR ploy. In an EXCLUSIVE conversation with Pinkvilla, the gorgeous Bollywood-Southern beauty having a warm and infectious smile opened up about the whole #MeToo movement. Tamannaah who has worked with Sajid Khan (accused of sexual harassment in #MeToo) in his two films, Himmatwala and Humshakals, recently clarified that she was never treated in a bad way and was completely comfortable working with the director.
Sajid Khan has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple women, including several actors. We asked Tamannaah if it was shocking for her to hear about it, to which she replied, "You know there were different allegations made on different people and I think the whole idea of me too movement was to get people to talk about it and share their experiences. If there is an experience that someone had and if they are talking about, it takes a lot of courage to do that. But somewhere I feel me too moment lost its gush because it became more of a PR ploy which shouldn't have been. It should have been given its due respect and should have been treated with more serious sense and more serious note."
