EXCLUSIVE: Yash in talks with ’83 producer Vishnu Induri for a Pan India film after KGF 2
After KGF 2, is Yash going to turn a producer? Read details on his future plan of action towards the end of this year.
The 2018 Christmas release, KGF proved to be a big money spinner in the southern markets and also proved to be a successful venture in the Hindi belts despite a clash. The reruns of the Hindi dubbed version on TV made the film even bigger and the sequel, KGF 2 is now keenly awaited by the trade and audience alike. The first part also played a major role in positioning the leading man, Yash, as an actor who commands a Pan Indian appeal, and everyone is now awaiting to see him take things a notch higher with KGF 2, which is gearing up for a release in July.
While the shooting of the film has already been wrapped up, and is currently in the post production stage, the makers have promised even more action and drama in this Prashanth Neel directorial, which also features Bollywood actors like Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon in key roles. And Pinkvilla has learnt that Yash is flooded with offers from across all the industries, and though the actor is yet to take a call on his immediate next, the front runner for the same is ’83 producer, Vishnu Induri’s next film, which is planned as something that appeals to the Pan-Indian sensibilities.
“Yash and Vishnu have had multiple meetings and the actor is bowled away by the concept of this action-packed Pan-Indian film. They are speaking to several directors to come on board the film, as the idea is to take the film on floors this year itself. However, things will move at a faster pace only once Yash signs the dotted lines. The producer has zeroed in on a few probable directors from Bollywood as well as Telugu and Kannada industry, and will soon have another meeting with Yash before taking things forward with director,” revealed a source close to the development.
There is also a buzz in the market that Yash is planning to launch his own production house and his immediate next will also have his banner as the co-producer. He is considering multiple projects to debut as a producer, and a call will be taken only once the world of KGF is out of his system.
