EXCLUSIVE: Zero Box Office Collection Prediction: Here's how much Shah Rukh Khan's film will earn on Day 1
As we're just a day away from Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero's release, Pinkvilla spoke to trade expert Girish Johar, who gave us his prediction of the opening day box office collection for Aanand L Rai's movie.
Shah Rukh Khan is all set to win our hearts yet again, this time as Bauua Singh in Zero. Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero will see Shah Rukh in a never before seen avatar, as a dwarf, with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif as the leading ladies. The trailer and the music have piqued the curiousity of us all and we're just a day away from the film's release. Which begs the question, how much will SRK's film earn on the opening day?
In an EXCLUSIVE interaction with Pinkvilla, when we posed the question to trade expert Girish Johar, he predicted, "Zero has caught everyone's attention and everyone is waiting with bated breath. Shah Rukh Khan's release with the music topping the charts, the promotion has worked big time. Bauua Singh is a character which is known in every home these days. I feel it should clock anywhere between Rs 25-27 crore on its Day 1. It's a non-holiday and still, it should catch a good number because the expectations are quite high from the film."
When it comes to the first-weekend collection, Johar added, "If it's Rs 25 crores, it can clock Rs 80 crores in the first weekend, if it's Rs 30 crores, it could take a shot at the Rs 100 crore mark. Assuming everyone has liked the film. If it has not been appreciated and not been liked, then the game can change. Thugs of Hindostan is a very big example of that."
