Ansel Elgort is all set to win our hearts as Theo in BAFTA Award winner and Brooklyn (2015) fame John Crowley's directorial, The Goldfinch. Also starring Nicole Kidman, Oakes Fegley, Aneurin Barnard, Finn Wolfhard, Sarah Poulson, Luke Wilson and Jeffrey Wright in pivotal roles, The Goldfinch is an adaptation of Donna Tartt’s globally acclaimed bestseller of the same name that won the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction.  The movie recently had its world premiere at the 44th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF 2019).

Talking about working with Ansel and entrusting faith in him, John shared, "Ansel devoted himself—heart, mind and body—to his performance.  I think he makes you really feel for this character and everything he’s been through." On the other hand, Elgort was all praises for his The Goldfinch director saying, "Having John Crowley be a very hands-on director was exactly what I needed for this movie. We spent a lot of time talking about who Theo is. He had such a masterful take on the story and characters, and I trusted him completely."
