Malaika Arora: If you put Farah Khan, SRK and me back together in Chaiyya Chaiyya, maybe we can recreate it
Malaika Arora feels that the magic of Chaiyya Chaiyya can only be recreated if Farah Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and she come together for it.
Malaika Arora is undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous and fit fashionistas around. Every time she appears on the big screen, her dance moves continue to be a rage amongst the audience.
Malaika's best-remembered dance number continues to be Chaiyya Chaiyaa which was such a beautiful track choreographed by Farah Khan, who also happens to celebrate her 53rd birthday today. The song also featured Shah Rukh Khan.
In an interview to PINKVILLA, when we asked Malaika about the song that is considered a game changer for her career, she said, "Till date, I get all nostalgic about the song. The kind of recognition and opportunity I got post this, the song played a huge part in my career. The good thing is to date, the kind of charm, the kind of originality, the way it was shot, picturized and choreographed, to date the song stands out. I am not just saying this because I was in it but because it is genuinely a very great number."
Given that Bollywood is currently hit by the trend of remakes, we asked her if she thinks a song like Chaiyya Chaiyya can ever be remade. To this, Malaika laughed and said, "Well, if you put Farah Khan, Shah Rukh and me back together, then maybe we can recreate the magic."
We would definitely love to see that reunion, won't we?
Meanwhile, Malaika recently was the judge for the season three of India's Next Top Model. On the other hand, Farah hosted a show on Star Plus titled Lip Sing Battle wherein she got onboard the who's and who of Bollywood to do some really cool activities.
