Varun Dhawan is NOT replacing Salman Khan in Remo D'Souza untitled dance film
Remo D'Souza refutes rumours of Varun Dhawan replacing Salman Khan in his untitled dance film.
When news of Salman Khan playing a father to a teen in Remo D'Souza's untitled dance film broke the internet, one wondered what would be stored in for Bhai fans.
Salman himself went on record to speak about his role and how he was taking dance training for the film. However, after Tubelight's failure at the box office, reports of Salman being reluctant to take up the dance film started doing the rounds.
In fact, it was also reported that Salman was suggesting Varun Dhawan's name for the film and hence took Remo on board for Race 3.
Now, fresh reports claimed that Remo will go ahead with this project with Varun Dhawan instead of Salman. A source was quoted saying, "Varun happily agreed when Remo approached the Badlapur actor. They have collaborated very successfully on Any Body Can Dance. After the socially relevant October with Shoojit Sircar, another dance film seems just the thing Varun needs to do."
“This film has nothing to do with the ABCD franchise. Remo designed it for Salman. But Salman was reluctant from the start and had even recommended Varun for the role”, the source further added.
However, when contacted Remo, the filmmaker refuted the rumours. When asked if the dance film with Salman is still on, Remo said, "Let me first finish Race 3."
Varun Dhawan and Remo D'Souza have earlier worked together on ABCD 2.
