Michelle Trachtenberg, popularly known for her role as Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl, has passed away at the age of 39. The actress was found unresponsive in her apartment in New York City on February 26. The police officials have scraped off the speculations of criminality and the investigation is underway.
Before bagging the big roles, such as in Gossip Girl alongside Blake Lively and Leighton Meester, the actress began her career by appearing in commercials. Trachtenberg got her first big break with Nickelodeon when she was selected to play a part in The Adventures of Pete & Pete and later in All My Children.
After being heavily praised for her characters in the above-mentioned show, the actress gained popularity with her titular role in Harriet the Spy. The show was released in 1996, and Trachtenberg played the lead role of Harriet M. Welsch.
Other notable titles that the actress worked on included EuroTrip, 17 Again, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Ice Princess. Trachtenberg’s last prominent role was in the reboot of the drama series, where she won hearts with her role of Sparks.
