Director Ali Abbas Zafar spills a few beans on Varun Dhawan’s cameo in Bharat. The movie stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have come together once again for Bharat, post featuring in the blockbuster film Tiger Zinda Hai (2017). The film helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar has already become one of the most anticipated ones and the latest trailer released has made sure to up the excitement amongst the audience for the movie. Salman will be seen donning as many as five looks in the movie, each narrating his journey across decades. Adding more flavour to this journey of a man and a nation would be Varun Dhawan, who will be seen in a cameo in Bharat.
In an exclusive interaction with Ali, we asked him to spill a few beans about Varun’s cameo and while he remained tight lipped about his character, Ali definitely had some good things to say about Dhawan. He said, “He is a great friend and actor. He is a very good boy and we really get along and he is also very fond of Salman and Katrina. It was just a big party on sets when he was there.” This would not be the first time Salman and Varun will be seen sharing the screen space. The two earlier were seen in one frame in Judwaa 2 but of course, that was a different genre.

When asked how is this different, Ali added, “It was very different. Also, when the film comes out and we do the final cut, we will know how I am using the scene with Varun but it was fun. It is a very interesting scene,” while continuing to remain mum on his character details. However, if reports are to be believed, the young actor will be seen playing the role of young Dhirubhai Ambani in the partition drama.
Bharat releases this Eid on June 5.
