EXCLUSIVE: Yami Gautam shares the one advice about working in the industry she would give to her 2011 self

Yami Gautam, the pretty Bollywood actress, doesn’t need any introduction. The actress ruled millions of hearts since her first film Vicky Donor. But many don’t know that Yami before making her debut in Bollywood had worked in TV industry. From her professional to personal life, Yami has always grabbed attention. Her performance in the film Uri: The Surgical Strike was highly appreciated. Recently, she opened up on the struggle and her journey as she completes a decade in the industry.
Talking to Pinkvilla in an exclusive interview, Yami Gautam revealed many shocking truths and also compared herself from 2011 to 2021. When asked if Yami from 2021 wants to give suggestion to Yami from 2011, what will it be? She replied saying, “Just remain fearless. It is the fear which becomes a problem. Fear of losing out work, fear of if I don’t do this. You know if I don’t be in a certain way, I will lose out or if I don’t voice my discomfort about somethings, if I feel I am saying creatively or in whatever aspect then I lose out. I don’t think that fear should exist.”
She further said, “We work in a field, in a team where it is a collaborative effort. It is a team that makes a film and every voice matters, everything matters. Your own perspective matters.”
In an earlier interview, she had also said, “There could be people having opinions on the way you dress for a meeting, on the way you do your makeup, hair or how you carry yourself.”
On the work front, Yami Gautam will be next seen in Bhoot Police that also stars Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. The actress has recently shared her look from her upcoming film Dasvi. The film’s also features Abhishek Bachchan, and Nimrat Kaur.
