Kabir Singh Box Office Collection Day 8: Shahid Kapoor's film is the HIGHEST second Friday grosser of 2019

 The much awaited film Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani finally hit the screens last week on Friday, June 21. The Sandeep Vanga Reddy directorial is a remake of the super hit Telugu film Arjun Reddy. This Shahid starrer earned big bucks despite being released on a non-holiday. The film is surely facing competition from Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Bharat. Kabir Singh made a massive collection of Rs 20.21 Cr on its first day. However, it has received a mixed response from the critics. But Shahid's performance in the movie has been appreciated by the masses. The actor portrays the role of an alcoholic surgeon in the film, while Kiara Advani plays the role of a medical student.
 

Kabir Singh narrates the story of a man who goes into a self-destructive path after his ex marries someone else. The film experienced an amazing second Friday on the box office. It collected Rs 11.50 Cr. The second Friday is easily the biggest of the year beating Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri - The Surgical Strike. The total collections of the film till date is Rs 144 Cr. The second Friday confirms Kabir Singh as the second biggest hit of 2019. 
 

In fact, the second Friday collections affirms that Kabir Singh can be deemed as a blockbuster of 2019. Avengers: Endgame had made Rs 11.80 Cr on its second Friday; however, Kabir Singh will soon surpass that figure.
