In Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing case, Mumbai Police have detained a suspect, allegedly involved in inflicting multiple stab wounds on the actor for questioning, as per reports.
After an extensive manhunt involving multiple police teams across Mumbai and surrounding areas, a suspect has been detained and is being transported to the Bandra police station for further questioning.

Hours after the stabbing incident involving Saif Ali Khan, authorities managed to obtain a clear image of the intruder. The CCTV capture, shared by PTI, shows the suspect on a staircase at 2:33 a.m. on January 16, 2025, with his face clearly visible. This footage has provided a crucial lead in the ongoing investigation.
The suspect is believed to have accessed the actor's 11th-floor Bandra apartment using the fire escape staircase in the early hours of January 16. After the attack, authorities tracked the suspect to Bandra Railway Station.
Recently, as reported by ANI, Mumbai Police confirmed that they have recovered a fragment removed from Saif's back. However, a portion of the blade is still missing and yet to be located.
The disturbing incident occurred around 2:30 AM when the intruder confronted the house help inside the apartment. When Saif stepped in to protect his family and staff, the altercation escalated into violence.
Saif suffered multiple stab wounds, including a significant injury to his thoracic spinal cord.
The actor was swiftly taken to Lilavati Hospital, where emergency surgery was performed to remove a 2.5-inch knife from his spine and address a spinal fluid leak. While doctors confirmed Saif is no longer in danger, he remains under ICU care.
The maid was also attacked with a hexa blade and sustained injuries to her wrists and hands as she tried to defend herself.
Family members, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, Sharmila Tagore, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Karisma Kapoor, visited Saif Ali Khan at Lilavati Hospital to offer their support.
In the meantime, celebrities like Malaika Arora, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Amrita Arora, and others gathered at Karisma Kapoor's house to stand by the family during this difficult period.
