Total Dhamaal Mid Movie Review: Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor starrer fails to tickle your funny bones
Total Dhamaal Mid Movie review is out! While Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Mishra, and Johnny Lever are quite good as expected in Total Dhamaal, it is Riteish Deshmukh and his partner in crime who are great revelations.
After Dhamaal and Double Dhamaal, Indra Kumar is back with the third installment called Total Dhamaal starring Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Javed Jaffrey. The makers touted it as the wildest adventure that promises laughter.
Before we get into the review of the first half let me just make it clear that the movie is titled the same just in case we don't miss the point, but the makers have clearly missed it entirely. It is dull and loud and delivers nothing what the title promises.
Talking about the plot, it is the same story which we have seen in the list of movies of how the cast chases hidden booty of crores that leads to a mad chase. My question is why to repeat the done to death story when it is always rejected by the audiences?
Talking about one-liner, slapstick and gags, most of them are quite common and amusing enough to even bring a smile. But Madhuri and Anil's fun banter gets quite a few chuckles.
I have to say that without any doubt Javed Jaffrey and his partner Arshad Warsi are towering above the others with their performance as the dim-witted ones. But then they were always the saving grace in Dhamaal and Double Dhamaal too.
While Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever are quite good as expected, it is Riteish and his partner in crime who are great revelations.
Till the first half, the movie is not at all funny with unwanted drama and action, and now, in the second half anticipating more funny scenes and dialogues to unfold in the next half. Fingers Crossed!
