Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se Mid Movie Review: This comedy makes no sense
Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se Mid Movie Review: Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Dharmendra's film is a snooze fest where the second half can be predicted even before the interval.
What can be said about this snooze fest of a movie where the second half can be predicted even before the interval. Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se is a film that should NOT have been made in the first place. The storyline is about an Ayurveda practitioner Vaidya (Sunny Deol), whose prized cure remedy Vajra Kawach forms the heart of the story. Sunny puts up an earnest act but his dhai kilo ka haath persona has become a tiring and cumbersome act now. Then there is Kaala (Bobby Deol), Vaidya's brother who seems more like the eye candy of the film than Chickoo (Kriti Kharbanda). Veteran actor Dharmendra is the saving grace of the first half but even his charm can't get a single laugh out of the theatre audience.
The genuineness of the first part of the YPD franchise is what made it relatable and funny. On the other hand, the absurdity of the storyline i.e YPD 3 is a waste of time, money and patience. Here's hoping the second half has some semblance, but that seems highly unlikely.
