Vettaiyan Prevue OUT: Rajinikanth looks fierce as an unstoppable supercop; fans are unhappy with Amitabh Bachchan's dubbed voice

Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to appear as a supercop in his next film, Vettaiyan. The movie, directed by TJ Gnanavel, features him as an encounter specialist IPS officer with a legacy of taking on dangerous foes.
With Rajinikanth in the lead, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and many more in key roles. It is slated to hit the big screens on October 10, 2024.

The prevue of Vettaiyan starts off with Amitabh Bachchan’s character introducing four encounter specialists of the Police force. Amidst them is Superstar Rajinikanth, who plays the role of an SP known for taking on dangerous criminals in his career.
The prevue further showcases some high-octane and swag-filled performances by Rajinikanth. The superstar wielding his gun enacts a complete supercop avatar. Still, Big B stands opposed to him, giving us the difference in ideologies between encountering criminals and the rights they have as humans.
The prevue showcased glimpses of the film’s supporting actors, including Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, and Rithika Singh. The prevue also teased us with a complete investigative thriller made in a Rajinikanth-esque commercial style. Moreover, the strongest pillar to the prevue would undoubtedly be Anirudh Ravichander, who uses his insane skills as a composer to craft some banger scores, accompanied by the song Hunter Vantaar.
The latest song from Vettaiyan, sung by Siddharth Basrur, was unveiled earlier, and it is nothing short of a celebration for the superstar and his legacy. The movie also marks Anirudh’s 4th collaboration with Rajinikanth in a movie after films like Petta, Darbar, and Jailer.
Coming to Rajinikanth’s work front, the superstar is currently shooting for his next film, Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie, which features the superstar as Deva, also has an ensemble list of actors like Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.
