Talking about the thought process in her mind and what after this, she said, "I thought it is okay, everything has to end for something new to start and I have to do more work, a different character, or maybe I will get to explore more and learn more. All I thought was there is more for me in store after this show and it is time to explore those aspects of my life." There has been this overwhelming love and response from the fans on the news of the show going off-air, talking about the support, she says, "As you said, it was overwhelming, and I was not expecting this at all. This was one such instance where I did not see all of this love coming, but it was surprising and I am still recovering from the shock, the emotions, and I just cannot express what I feel in words."
The love from fans has only increased over the two years, and the show will end on a high note even after 2 years, where the fans are still wanting more. When asked if she thinks the story will remain incomplete, she says, "I don't think it will be incomplete. Back when we started with it, it was a love story that culminated into marriage. And now, the struggling phase has just started, so that I feel won't end ever. The people whose story we are portraying, their story will never end since they have spent some 25 years together now and hence, I feel it is fine to take a break and rethink what we want to show. Also, I think the path we are taking right now isn't what was originally supposed to be, so that is there but yes there is still more content to explore."
A month ahead of the show going off-air, there are reports about season 2 coming in. Talking about how true that is and what does she think about it, Ashi said, "What I feel right now is excitement for the second season of the show and the pain about the show going off-air, will somehow heal with this. Although, I am not sure about this because there is no official confirmation about it just yet."

Ask her what would she like to do, she says, "I would like to try my luck in web series, nothing in particular, but yes I want to learn more and explore more and not lead a regular life." Producer Sumeet Mittal posted a heartfelt message urging fans to save the show, which of course, is a first of its kind. Talking about that, the actress says, "I would just say that I am so, so, so lucky and I feel blessed because everyone loves our show from the bottom of their hearts, whether the audience, the team, the channel, the producer, and everyone else."
