For Me, Housefull Has a Lot of Sentimental Value - Jacqueline Fernandez
From performing on an item number in Housefull to pairing up with John Abraham in Housefull 2 to now romancing Akshay Kumar in Housefull 3, Jacqueline Fernandez has indeed come a long way.
Ask Jacqueline how does it feel and she says, "I am very excited. Honestly, for me Housefull has lot of sentimental value. I started as an item girl and in the 2nd part I was romancing John. For the 3rd one, when I was approached, there wasn't a doubt about it. I told Sajid Nadiadwala that I am absolutely doing this one. I was involved with the creatives. The star cast got bigger and better and I know what they can get to the table. This was the first time that I enjoyed doing comedy. I was afraid of camera and all. But this time, it was different. I hope it is a blockbuster which it deserves to be."
Given that it is a solo release and comedy film, Box Office numbers are expected to be massive. Does that make Jacqueline happy?
"I always like to think that about all my films. Like you mentioned, all the factors are true. I have thought about it as well. It is Summers, people want entertainment and we are just giving that. All are yearning for it so I am keeping my fingers crossed," admits the actress.
While Akshay, Riteish, Boman, Chunky and Jacqueline have been a part of all three Housefulls, the third part saw Abhishek Bachchan, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon joining the team. Quiz Jackie on her reaction to the new additions and she smiles, "I loved the additions but also missed the cast of Housefull 2. When you bring Abhishek, it is an insane addition. He made sure we ate, had fun and enjoyed to the core. Nargis and Lisa are ridiculously funny and we had a fantastic time."
Not many know, but in one of the songs of Housefull 3, Jacqueline will be seen doing tap dance. Probe her how did she learn and the leggy lass explains, "This was the first time I was working with Ganesh. He asked me would you dance to this music piece. Akshay was like she will doing and Sajid-Farhad also said the same. It was really instantaneous. We rehearsed it for couple of times. I am hoping it has turned out well."
Post Housefull 3, Jacqueline would be seen in Dishoom, A Flying Jatt and an action movie opposite Sidharth Malhotra. With so much in her kitty, we are assuming Jacqueline is quite excited.
"It has been very cool. For me it is actually for the first time that I am having so many releases in a year. It's been an exciting phase. Now it is like people like seeing lot more of me in different genres. Comedy to action to fantasy. Immediately, after finishing all of that, I am working on my film with Sid. But its cool to be able to work with so many different actors," signs off Jacqueline.
