Box Office Report: Poor opening for Ajay Devgn's 'Drishyam'
Ajay Devgn's 'Drishyam' had poor opening with the film earning around 5-5.25 crore nett. Though compared to the morning shows, evening collections were better, but given that the film released in over 2200 screens, its a very poor total.
The film fared relatively better in Mumbai circuit where as its business in West Bengal and Bihar was awful and in many cities of the North it was second to 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'.
Interestingly, according to Box Office India, the collections are the lowest for an Ajay Devgn starrer released recently. 'Tezz' that cae\me out in early 2012 had opened to 3.25 crore nett but since then all his films have fared around 10 crore nett with 'Singham Returns' going over 30 crore nett.
