Box Office Report: Akshay-Sidharth's 'Brothers' sees a huge jump on Day 2!

As expected, Karan Malhotra's 'Brothers' starring Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff in the lead has witnessed a huge jump on day 2 of its release.

After collecting Rs.15.2 crores on its opening day, 'Brothers' has earned Rs. 21.43 crores on its second day, taking the two days total to Rs. 36.63 crores. The film took an almost 40% jump on day 2, given that it was a National holiday on account of Independence day and is expected to grow more on Sunday which will be its day 3.

If the trend is to be believed then Akshay Kumar will have the biggest opening weekend ever for his films. The highest record is held by 'Rowdy Rathore' which earned Rs. 48 crores in opening weekend. Same is the case with Sidharth Malhotra, whose 'Ek Villain' recorded Rs. 50.7 crores opening.

Going with the early predictions, 'Brothers'; will also record the second highest opening weekend of 2015 - the first spot being held by 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' which collected Rs. 102.6 crores.

Indeed a good start!
