Box Office Report: Day 1 Collections of Dilwale & Bajirao Mastani
The first day collections of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani are finally out and it can be safe to say that the former has done almost double the business of latter. While Dilwale earned Rs. 21.50 crores on its opening day, Bajirao Mastani collected Rs. 12.80 crores on the first day.
Though Dilwale's Day 1 collections cannot be compared to other big releases given that it had lesser screenings owing to its clash, the film fared well despite being a non holiday. The Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer put up good numbers in East India and South India. However, the core belts of Mumbai, Delhi, East Punjab and Central India were-% lower than expected.
The film also faced certain disruptions in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan and at many places the shows were even cancelled, which lead to a fall in the film's collections.
Bajirao Mastani on the other hand also faced some opposition in Maharashtra. But given that the film has received a thumbs up from the critics, the collections of the film are bound to increase in the coming days.
