Box Office Report: Demonetization takes a toll on Rock On 2, Fares poorly on Day 1
Farhan Akhtar's Rock On 2 has failed to take a decent start at the ticket window and has recorded second lowest collections on its opening day, after Mirzya. According to a trade site, the film has collected INR 1.75 crore on its first day.
The film, which otherwise could have managed to earn INR 3 crore on a normal day, has been affected by the demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes. The critical reviews of the film too added on to its poor performance.
Given its current trend, it will be a massive task for the movie to fare a decent opening weekend. Guess, we shall have to wait some more to see how exactly does the film works at the box office.
Directed by Shujaat Saudagar and produced by Excel Entertainment, Rock On 2 stars Farhan, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli in the lead.
