Box Office Report: Aamir Khan's Dangal strikes gold on Day 1
Those who have watched Dangal cannot stop praising the film and those who are yet to watch, cannot wait to see the film. That is the impact of the Aamir Khan movie. The film, which hit the screens yesterday, has struck the right chord with the audience and has been off to a massive start at the ticket window.
If the early estimates are to be believed then the Nitesh Tiwari directed affair has earned a whopping INR 29.78 crore on day 1. This collection is huge given that the film released on a non-holiday. Salman Khan's Sultan which released on Eid had earned INR 36.74 crore, only 6 crore more than Aamir's film.
Dangal has performed well in East Punjab and Delhi NCR. It under-performed in West Bengal, Bihar and slightly in Gujrarat.
Going by the trend, it wouldn't be wrong to say that the film will smash all records and create history at the box office.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by UTV Disney and Aamir Khan Productions, Dangal stars Aamir Khan, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aparshakti Khurrana and Sakshi Tanwar in the lead roles.
