EXCLUSIVE: Does Karisma Kapoor have a cameo in Judwaa 2? Taapsee Pannu clarifies

Taapsee Pannu reveals if Karisma Kapoor has a cameo in Judwaa 2.

We all remember laughing our hearts out while watching David Dhawan's movie Judwaa which had Salman Khan playing a double role. The actor was paired opposite Karisma Kapoor and Rambha and the movie became a sure shot hit while Khan and Kapoor's chemistry was appreciated.

While Salman recently shot for his cameo in Judwaa 2, rumours have been rife for the longest time that Karisma too will be having a cameo in the sequel which stars Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez.

In a tête-à-tête with Pinkvilla, we asked Taapsee on whether Karisma does, in fact, have a cameo or not. To this, Taapsee replied, "I haven't shot with her so as far as I know, no...not really. I don't know if there's any progress after this. But, no... not so far."

On the other hand, there were reports suggesting that Taapsee's character in the movie is named after Karisma's daughter Samaira. When quizzed about the same, the actress stated, "I don't know where this thought... Obviously, it was a part of the script before so I think the writers can answer this better that, where did it come from exactly. But yeah, my character's name is Samaira."

Meanwhile, the entire team of Judwaa 2 flew to Mauritius recently to recreate the beachy number Tu Mere Dil Mein Bas Jaa from Judwaa 2 which was then picturised on Salman and Karisma.

Directed by David, Judwaa 2 is slated to release on September 29, 2017. Varun will be playing twin characters - Raja and Prem in the movie.
