Talking about the time when Malla and Arbaaz were going through separation, she tells us, "Of course, we did try and talk to them. But at the end of it, they were two consulting adults and they deserved their space." Despite the divorce, both Malaika and Amrita maintain friendly relationship with Arbaaz. Amrita explains, "I don't understand why it should change?" Malaika added, "Relationships aren't built overnight, they are built over time. Arbaaz is not somebody who they know. He's like a son to them, he's family." Malaika and Aarbaaz got divorced around two years ago and have moved on in their respective lives. But the good part is that both of them, despite being exes, are extremely caring parents to their son Arhaan Khan.
