EXCLUSIVE: Here's the TITLE of Vicky Kaushal & Bhumi Pednekar's horror film and it's got a connection with RGV
The Bhanu Pratap Singh directorial has got its title and it's got a strong connection with Ram Gopal Varma. How? Find out inside.
Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar will soon be seen sharing screen space for the first time. The two actors, who are known for their brilliant performances, have teamed up for Bhanu Pratap Singh's directorial debut, that is being produced by Shashank Khaitan and Karan Johar.
Says a source, "This will be Vicky's foray in the horror space. It's a brilliant story which is based on a real incident. The entire film is based in the backdrop of a haunted ship in Mumbai." Not just that, this will also be one of the firsts for Dharma Productions. "Karan finds it to be extremely innovative and hence has sanctioned it to be a series. This will be the first horror franchise under his banner."
Vicky plays the main lead whereas Bhumi has an interesting cameo in the horror-thriller. For the last few days, the makers left everyone intrigued. They said a special announcement will be made to reveal the film's title. A lot of hints were given on social media but a source from the production reveals, "It is called Bhoot. Yes, that's the title of the film. They wanted to keep it as basic as that." What makes the title interesting is that it also shares name with an Urmila Matondkar-Ajay Devgn starrer that released in 2003. And guess what? That film was helmed by KJo's arch nemesis Ram Gopal Varma.
Apart from this, Karan will also direct a short for the next anthology - Ghost Stories. Guess Dharma too is soon going to make their presence felt in the horror space as well.
