Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani to kickstart Shershaah in Chandigarh from May 7; read details

After donning the military uniform last year for the film Aiyaary, Sidharth Malhotra will yet again be seen playing a soldier in his next Shershaah. The film has been bankrolled by Karan Johar and director Vishnu Vardhan will be helming it. The movie is a biopic on slain Kargil martyr Vikram Batra who was also known as Sher Shah for his valour.

The team recently announced the film on social media and revealed that the 'shooting begins soon'. But we have found more details on the same. An informer tells us, "Both Sidharth and his leading lady Kiara Advani who are teaming up for the first time, will fly to Chandigarh on Monday (May 6). The film goes on floors the next day (Tuesday, May 7)."

The team will be present for almost a month to wrap up the first schedule. "It will primarily focus on the personal life of Batra and involve his sequences with the family members. But a major part of it will be developing the whole relationship he had with his girlfriend Dimple Cheema. It will focus on how they met and fell in love. He had not got married when he got killed battling for the country during the Kargil War. Right now, all the scenes featuring the couple will be shot. There will be a few romantic songs that they will also film during this schedule."
