From being called out for being boisterous and honest, to being termed a bad luck charm because two-three films where she played miniscule parts didn't do well, Taapsee has faced rejection from every corner. And till date, despite having established herself as a big brand and a bankable actress, Taapsee still fights a huge war with the raging nepotism in the industry. 

She said, "Here, I have seen a lot. I have been to award shows where I have been made to sit on the sixth row because they felt I wasn't worthy of the front row." Talking about insults, she also retorted, "A casting director once told me I was the worst thing about Chashme Baddoor. That was hurtful."
