Gully Boy Mid Movie Review: Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's film will surpass all your expectations
Gully Boy Mid Movie Review is out. Read on to know how the first half of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer is treating our reviewer.
"Meri sabdon ka jwala, meri beydiya piglayega,” says Murad aka Gully Boy (Ranveer Singh) in a monologue which is an extension of this gully ka ‘chokra’ who is weaving a dream of his own. The movie slowly paces from this trying to righteous young lad who dreams for the stars but is bondaged by the class difference. Amid the huge shuffle in his life, and family tension, he finds relief in what seems to be a secret relationship with Safeena (Alia Bhatt). The duo’s camaraderie literally lift up the screens and his tuning with Emcee Sher (Sidhanth Chaturvedi), a local star rapper, makes you shreikh in excitement every effing time.
Ranveer literally makes you invest in Murad from the very beginning while Alia is the right match to his nuanced yet controlled performance. The Zoya Akhtar movie in the first half seems to be a perfect tribute to the gully stars of our country with Ranveer giving -what seems to be- a performance of his lifetime. The music until now will hit you right at the heart while the cinematography keeps you engaged.
Now, we are all set to witness the Gully Boy break out and embody ‘Apna Time Aayega’ for real!
Stay tuned for the Gully Boy full review coming out soon.
